Who we are...
Our membership is made up of various community, commercial and third sector groups operating in Chorlton across a number of different fields of interest. All work as part of the Alliance on a voluntary basis.
Formerly the Civic Society, we’re an independent organisation concerned with the quality of the area and its surroundings.
A community of mainly independent Chorlton businesses that work collectively for the benefit of all.
A group working with local organisations to make Chorlton and Whalley Range a good place to live with dementia
The Edge Theatre & Arts Centre

Friends of Chorlton Park
Our aim is to support the maintenance and development of the park for the people of Chorlton and surrounding areas. We are committed to the inclusion and recognition of all. We work:
– to enhance the park’s amenity value to local residents;
– to involve local residents in maintaining the park;
– to increase biodiversity (a home for nature);
– to increase the number of trees;
– to maintain something of the park’s original character.
Friends of Ryebank Fields
An environmental group determined to protect this much-loved community greenfield site from development.
